Fashion brand Oasis has teamed up with VISR and the Zoological Society of London (ZSL) to delight shoppers with an in-store virtual reality safari experience. The experience redefines how Oasis connects customers with the fashion brand’s values and explores the story of the retailer’s unique collaboration with the Zoological Society of London.

During the experience, shoppers sit in a jeep and are taken on a virtual safari using VR headsets, where they can get close to lions, zebras and other animals in the ZSL conservation programme.

VISR’s solution combines mixed reality hardware and software in new ways to deepen the connection between the user and the virtual experience. VISR developed a bespoke VR controller in the shape of a camera to capture images within the experience as a record of a remarkable trip.

To maximise the reach and impact of the campaign, VISR designed a Postcard Printing and Sharing App which ties in with the photo experience, letting customers print out postcards as a memento or share the images on Instagram and Twitter using the hashtag #OasisXZSL.
