The Whiteley has announced the signing of leases with four new commercial tenants, set to open their doors later this year. This development is part of the £1.2bn transformation of this iconic London landmark into a premier residential, retail, and hospitality destination. With the addition of these new brands, The Whiteley has achieved 80% pre-let of its commercial spaces, welcoming a total of 19 retailers, lifestyle brands, restaurants, and cafés.

These new tenants, carefully selected to cater to residents, the surrounding neighbourhood, and visitors, will further enhance The Whiteley’s status as a top-tier destination for living, shopping, dining, and leisure. Joining an impressive line-up that includes Six Senses, Everyman Cinema, Third Space, Effie by Pachamama Group, Guillam Coffee House, and Browfique, the new additions are:

Leading the new entrants is 3812 Gallery, a prominent Chinese contemporary art gallery established in 2010. Known for its expertise in contemporary ink art, the gallery will occupy a 2,800 sq. ft. unit, continuing its mission to showcase modern and contemporary Chinese artists.

Also joining the line-up is Melrose and Morgan, a premium neighbourhood delicatessen established in London in 2004. The delicatessen will open its flagship store at The Whiteley, spanning 3,500 sq. ft., and will offer high-quality British produce and artisanal goods, featuring unique experiences like supper clubs, masterclasses, and brand collaborations.

Finally, Yuum, a boutique café, will offer a diverse menu of global flavours, including authentic Japanese mochi, matcha, Brazilian açai, and quality coffee. The 1,000 sq. ft. café will feature immersive design elements, creating a unique sensory experience for visitors.

Adam Goldin, Head of UK at C C Land, commented, “The signing of four new tenants brings us closer to full commercial occupancy at The Whiteley and solidifies the building’s status as a dynamic and diverse cultural destination for both residents and visitors alike.”

Marcus Meijer, Founder and CEO at MARK, added, “The Whiteley is a shining example of our urban mixed-use strategy, having reimagined an iconic department store into a vibrant blend of retail and leisure offerings.”

This milestone is part of the wider £3 billion regeneration of Queensway, which includes significant public realm improvements, new pavilions for outdoor dining, public art installations, and a new entrance to Hyde Park. The Whiteley will complete later this year, featuring 139 homes, a 109-room Six Senses Hotel, and a curated collection of services and amenities.
