AliExpress, the international online retail platform operated by Alibaba Group’s international arm, is set to initiate its 11.11 Global Shopping Festival. This year’s event is anticipated to deliver the platform’s quickest delivery times to UK customers, alongside a wide selection of discounted products.

The festival is slated to begin at 08:00:00 GMT on 8 November, preceded by a three-day window where shoppers can preview discounts and compile their carts in readiness for the event. The AliExpress app will host daily draws during this period, offering various products as prizes.

The primary sale event will launch at 08:00:00 GMT on 11 November, concluding a week later. Gary Topp, European Commercial Director of AliExpress, commented on the festival’s customer-centric enhancements: “AliExpress’ 11.11 Global Shopping Festival this year is set to be the most exciting yet, where customers will benefit from lots of new user upgrades including free shipping, free returns and faster deliveries alongside the usual great deals and discounts.”

In September, AliExpress, in partnership with Cainiao Network, Alibaba’s logistics affiliate, introduced a ‘Five-Day Global Delivery’ service, marking a significant advancement in cross-border e-commerce logistics. This service promises a five-working-day delivery time for select items marked with a ‘5-day delivery’ badge, shipped from China to the UK.

This year also marks the introduction of a free returns policy for UK customers, allowing the return of one item per order within 15 days of receipt, covering a vast majority of products and providing an added layer of confidence for shoppers during the platform’s largest annual sales event.

In an effort to simplify the shopping experience, AliExpress is offering free shipping on UK orders.

Discounts during the 11.11 event are set to be a major draw, with UK consumers able to save £3 for every £15 spent, up to a maximum discount of £12 per order.

The ‘Super Deal’ channel will feature over 10,000 products with reductions ranging from 20 to 50%. To cater to the diverse needs of its global customer base, AliExpress will also present ‘themed product lists’ that reflect various international seasons, festivals, and cultural events, streamlining the search for relevant products.

Interested consumers are encouraged to explore the offerings on the AliExpress platform starting from 8 November.
