Castle Quarter has bolstered its retail offering with the addition of outdoorwear brand Trespass. The retailer, specialising in clothing and equipment for outdoor pursuits like skiing and hiking, has relocated from its previous Norwich store to a new unit at Castle Quarter’s White Lion Street entrance.

Established in Glasgow in 1938 as Jacobs & Turner Ltd, Trespass has grown into one of the UK’s leading producers and retailers of outdoor and adventure apparel, with over 300 stores worldwide. The move to Castle Quarter, secured with a new five-year lease, reflects the brand’s commitment to expanding its presence in key UK locations.

Lisa Brooks, Area Manager at Trespass, shared:
“We’re delighted to be coming to Castle Quarter, Norwich. This is the latest opening in our expansion across the UK. We know the people of Norwich love the outdoors. And we know they also appreciate the mix of style, quality and good value that Trespass will bring. With Autumn weather upon us, our latest store opening at Castle Quarter couldn’t be more timely.”

The relocation of Trespass strengthens the occupier line-up at Castle Quarter, which has evolved into a hub for social, leisure, and lifestyle experiences while maintaining its traditional retail appeal. Trespass joins major retail brands such as TK Maxx, Boots, Flying Tiger, and The Entertainer, alongside leisure operators like Boom Battle Bar, Putt Putt Social, and Escape Hunt.

The strategic repositioning of Castle Quarter has delivered impressive results, with increased footfall, dwell time, car park usage, and occupier turnover. At least 75% of tenants report year-on-year trading growth.

Will Ashdown, Asset Manager at RivingtonHark, commented:
“Trespass is a premium UK brand, and as such it is hugely exciting to see it choose to relocate to Castle Quarter from its existing Norwich store. While we have worked to widen the social, leisure, and lifestyle options at the destination, retail has remained at the heart of what Castle Quarter has to offer, something that is underlined by Trespass’ arrival. Our strategy has been to deliver as diverse an occupier line-up as possible, benefitting all operators and paying dividends through the increases in footfall that Castle Quarter has seen.”
