Retail Insight, the leading provider of store operations execution software, has announced two senior executive appointments to accelerate its international growth trajectory.  Former senior sales leader at Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) brand, Hokodo, Richard Collins joins as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), while Peter Rooken-Smith is appointed as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

With a wealth of experience in driving revenue growth in both mid-market and large-scale technology organisations, including Linnworks and Oracle, Collins previously played a pivotal role in transforming the sales process and significantly increasing revenue at BNPL brand, Hokodo.  In his role as CRO, Collins will spearhead Retail Insight’s commercial offer, bringing fresh perspective to its executive and sales teams.

Commenting on his appointment, Collins said: “I am excited to join Retail Insight and contribute to its mission of global market leadership, delivering cutting-edge technology solutions to the grocery retail and CPG industries.  Trusted by the world’s leading brands, I look forward to working with the talented team in achieving further growth and customer satisfaction milestones.”

Meanwhile, Rooken-Smith, a strategic and commercially minded CFO, joins Retail Insight from ESG SaaS business, Evotix.  Rooken-Smith brings with him extensive experience scaling enterprise and mid-market B2B SaaS companies, as well as having successfully led profitable investment and recapitalisation strategies in previous roles.

“Joining Retail Insight is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic team that is at the forefront of retail innovation,” said Rooken-Smith.  “I am eager to contribute to the company’s continued success.”

Paul Boyle, CEO of Retail Insight, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Richard and Peter to our executive team.  Their extensive experience and proven track-records in their respective fields will be invaluable as we continue to drive innovation and deliver exceptional value to our clients, using unparalleled insights to help them grow revenues and maximise profits.”

The appointment of Collins and Rooken-Smith is the latest in a series of strategic senior global hires supporting Retail Insight’s ambitious international growth trajectory in key retail markets, including North America and Europe.  Earlier this year, it announced the appointment of former Confused.com exec, Andy Brockway, as its new CTO, charged with accelerating product roadmap development and innovation strategy for its suite of software solutions that help grocery retailers achieve the full potential of every store.
