Henderson Park, the international private equity real estate firm, and Eurofund Group, the pan-European investment and development company, have announced the addition of H beauty to Silverburn in Glasgow. The Harrods-owned beauty brand will occupy 22,500 sq ft of the former Debenhams unit, marking the flagship store’s sixth location and expanding Silverburn’s beauty and lifestyle offering.
This significant re-letting is part of the joint venture’s proactive asset management strategy, repositioning Silverburn as a premium destination for high-quality retail. H beauty’s Silverburn location will feature a wide selection of make-up, skincare, and fragrance, offering an array of brands from established names to next-generation newcomers.
This announcement follows recent additions to Silverburn, including brands such as The White Company, TAG Heuer, All Saints, Polestar, and Rituals, alongside an expanded Zara. New food and leisure options, including King Pins, Bread Meats Bread, and The Real Greek, further enhance Silverburn’s appeal as an integrated shopping destination.
Christophe Kuhbier, Head of Investments, Europe, at Henderson Park, commented: “Best-in-class shopping centres like Silverburn have thrived in recent years with improved footfall and increased consumer spending fuelling renewed confidence from retailers. We are seeing strong appetite for space from a broad range of occupiers as we continue to increase occupancy levels and perfect the asset’s high-quality tenant mix. This latest letting is a continuation of our business plan to create value and deliver rental growth while firmly securing Silverburn’s position as Glasgow’s premier retail destination.”
Alberto Esguevillas, CEO UK Retail for Eurofund Group, added, “H beauty is an ambitious brand and we are pleased that Silverburn has been selected to play a part in its ongoing growth. This is an exciting new retailer to add to the mix and will complement and expand our existing beauty and lifestyle offer.”
Over two years, Henderson Park and Eurofund Group’s joint ownership of Silverburn has seen significant improvements, with 56 deals agreed, a rise in sales and footfall, and over 15 million visitors in 2023 alone, establishing the centre as a leading destination in Glasgow.
Henderson Park and Eurofund Group were represented by Culverwell and Time Retail Partners.
