Heritage brand Whittard of Chelsea has unveiled a new store at Nottingham’s Victoria Centre, marking its latest expansion outside London. The 872 sq ft store is the first outside the capital to feature Whittard’s refreshed modern shop fit, offering a contemporary shopping experience designed to attract Nottingham’s growing customer base.

The store showcases Whittard’s renowned range of premium teas, coffees, and hot chocolates. To enhance customer engagement, daily tastings of its signature products are available, inviting shoppers to sample before making a purchase. This interactive element adds a unique dimension to Victoria Centre’s retail offering, increasing footfall and elevating the overall shopping experience.

“Whittard’s new store not only enhances Victoria Centre’s diverse retail offering but also brings an elevated shopping experience with its modern shop fit and premium product range. Its presence will resonate with the centre’s customers, and demonstrates our ongoing commitment to signing tenants that bring new and exciting brands to shoppers in Nottingham.”

The Nottingham store is part of Whittard’s broader strategy to expand across the UK, adding to its current portfolio of 43 stores. The new Victoria Centre location reflects the brand’s ambition to meet rising demand for its products while connecting with a loyal and diverse customer base.

Steve Flanagan, Marketing & Product Director at Whittard, commented on the decision to open in Nottingham:
“As the retail landscape in Nottingham evolves, the Victoria Centre’s growing tenant mix, impressive footfall, and loyal customer base presented the perfect opportunity for us to expand our presence. The larger unit allows us to enhance our product range and create a more engaging shopping experience for both existing and new customers.”

This store is the third in Whittard’s collection to incorporate its updated design concept, further enhancing its appeal. With a focus on expanding its reach, Whittard’s presence at Victoria Centre cements its role as a key player in premium beverage retail while enriching Nottingham’s vibrant shopping scene.
