Carhartt WIP, Ronning, and Blackhorse Lane Ateliers are the latest brands to enhance Soho’s retail offering, with new store openings announced by Shaftesbury Capital. The lifestyle and apparel brands have joined the West End destination, further diversifying its mix of flagship and independent retailers.
Carhartt WIP has relocated its flagship store to a larger 4,000 sq ft unit at 33-35 Brewer Street, moving from its previous location at 72-74 Brewer Street. The new space features a minimalist interior crafted by creative director Salome Faeh and Milan-based architect Andrea Caputo. Shoppers can explore seasonal men’s and women’s collections, alongside gadgets, accessories, and collaborative projects. This flagship joins Carhartt WIP’s existing Seven Dials location, highlighting its continued presence in central London.
Menswear brand Ronning has opened its first permanent store at 2 Berwick Street. The 900 sq ft space serves as a flagship for the London-based label, known for its focus on timeless, high-quality clothing designed for year-round wear. The store’s opening marks a significant milestone for the brand, adding to Soho’s reputation as a hub for innovative independent retailers.
Completing this trio of new openings, Blackhorse Lane Ateliers has launched a 1,100 sq ft store at 96 Berwick Street. The craft jean maker, known for its eco-conscious and community-focused approach, brings its distinctive ethos to Soho’s retail scene. The brand’s focus on sustainability and craftsmanship aligns with Shaftesbury Capital’s vision for the area’s tenant mix.
William Oliver, Retail Leasing Director at Shaftesbury Capital, commented: “Soho remains the top choice for brands looking to make their mark in physical retail, which means we can deliver debuts and flagship stores not found anywhere else and build an unmatched visitor experience. These three new openings complement the exciting retail mix which underpins Soho’s ongoing appeal.”
The openings follow the recent debut of Salomon at 18 Broadwick Street, where the brand introduced its Sportstyle concept to the UK for the first time. Together, these additions highlight Soho’s ongoing evolution as a leading retail destination.
