Broadcaster and author Claudia Winkleman has been confirmed as the host of the Product of the Year 2026 awards, a celebration of innovation in consumer goods determined entirely by the British public.

The awards ceremony will take place at Quaglino’s, the historic Mayfair venue renowned for its royal connections and glamorous reputation. Known for its art deco interiors and high-profile guests, Quaglino’s was the first restaurant to publicly host Queen Elizabeth II and continues to be associated with both royal and celebrity clientele.

Product of the Year, now in its third decade, is unique in its approach to consumer recognition. The awards are based on the opinions of 8,000 to 10,000 UK shoppers, who vote each year on which products they feel stand out in innovation, design or function. Winners across multiple categories are granted the use of the distinctive Product of the Year red logo, a symbol widely recognised on shelves and in marketing.

Previous winners span a wide range of household and lifestyle goods, including the upside-down Heinz ketchup bottle, tubeless toilet and kitchen rolls, and boxed mattresses – all of which have demonstrated shifts in how consumers engage with everyday products.

The announcement of this year’s winners will follow the awards ceremony at Quaglino’s, adding another chapter to the long-standing initiative that celebrates products making a tangible impact on shoppers’ lives through innovation.
