Deliveroo and HURR have announced a new partnership to provide on-demand designer dress rentals in Central London. This collaboration, launching ahead of the festive season, allows customers to rent high-end, pre-loved dresses from luxury brands like 16 Arlington, Santa Brands, Self-Portrait, Nadine Merabi, and Rixo, with delivery in as little as 20 minutes through the Deliveroo app.
A Sustainable Fashion Solution
HURR offers access to designer clothing rentals, helping to make luxury fashion more sustainable and accessible. Previously, HURR provided a 24-hour overnight delivery service, but the integration with Deliveroo enhances this offering, cutting delivery times to just 20 minutes. Each rental includes a returns label and instructions, simplifying the process for users.
Victoria Prew, Founder of HURR, highlighted the benefits of the partnership:
“We’re thrilled to be launching on-demand fashion rental in partnership with Deliveroo this festive season. You can select and rent your dresses from HURR to your door faster than ever before, in as little as 20 minutes. Customer experience is at the heart of HURR, and this unique partnership will deliver your last-minute or planned party wear looks to your door faster than fast fashion itself.”
Convenience Meets Circular Fashion
The global fashion rental market, now valued at over £4.8 million, has more than doubled since 2016. Driven by Gen Z and Millennials, this growth reflects increased demand for sustainable and cost-effective alternatives to traditional fashion. By integrating with Deliveroo, HURR connects with a broader audience, offering a convenient option for those seeking to rent designer dresses without committing to a purchase.
Eric French, Chief Operating Officer at Deliveroo, commented:
“At Deliveroo, we’re always looking to break new ground, and our exciting partnership with HURR is no different. It is an industry first for the rental fashion market and will make high-end fashion more accessible, bringing a new level of luxury and convenience to our customers. This marks our first step into the fashion space, and we’re excited to welcome more partners to Deliveroo Shopping as we continue expanding the variety for our customers.”
Deliveroo Shopping Expands
The collaboration with HURR adds to Deliveroo Shopping, which now features non-food categories alongside its established food delivery services. Recent partnerships include brands such as B&Q, Wilko, Ann Summers, and The Perfume Shop. Deliveroo customers can now shop for everything from homeware and cosmetics to toys, flowers, and gifts via a single app.
