Peel L&P has confirmed a spate of new retail commitments at Gloucester Quays, the eminent urban shopping outlet in the South West, with eight brands recently signing on.
Among those taking on new retail space is Claire’s, the international fashion accessories and jewellery brand. With a unit covering 1,050 square feet, Claire’s at Gloucester Quays will feature an extensive range of rings, necklaces, earrings, hair adornments, beauty essentials, bags and more, set to open this September. Greeting card company Hallmark is also relocating within the outlet, and will share its new 2,009-square-foot, dual-frontage unit with Yankee Candle. The store will stock greeting cards, gifts, ornaments, as well as a diverse selection of scented candles and wax products from Yankee Candle.
Family-owned shoe retailer Pavers has unveiled its revamped store, with the reimagined 2,809-square-foot space opening its doors last week. Nearby, Bag Barn will soon launch its inaugural 1,038-square-foot outlet store featuring an array of bags and luggage.
Marie Samuels, Area Manager at Pavers, stated: “Our high-quality footwear is designed to provide comfort for everyone, so we are hugely excited to have launched our new store in the heart of a key regional location like Gloucester Quays. We look forward to continuing to welcome the outlet’s visitors to Pavers, and we feel confident that they will love our affordable, comfort-first approach to footwear.”
Additional brands recently securing spaces at Gloucester Quays include UK’s leading health retailer Holland & Barrett, upscale clothing label Joules, and global sportswear company Asics, taking a combined total of 6,989 square feet of retail area.
Paul Carter, Asset Director at Peel L&P, noted: “Gloucester Quays has taken some big steps forward this year, and having a constant stream of new leasing, renewals, and refits is what has kept the offer strong and compelling. All of these brands will help us deliver diversity of retail, creating more choice for our customers, and we are delighted that they have committed to Gloucester Quays.”
This flurry of retail activity comes after a solid year for Gloucester Quays, which recently welcomed Timberland, NEXT, and Puma to its tenant list in 2023, along with an expanded space for Mountain Warehouse.
