Atria Watford managed by Global Mutual and owned by SGS, with Savills providing property management services, has announced the opening of Hobbs, a prominent British womenswear brand. This marks the debut of Hobbs within the Atria Watford shopping centre, enhancing its fashion and retail offerings.
The new Hobbs store occupies approximately 3,300 square feet, showcasing the brand’s commitment to timeless fashion imbued with a modern British essence. Located in Charter Place, a sought-after section of Atria Watford, this location has achieved full occupancy for the first time since its completion in 2019.
The store offers a wide range of attire suitable for various occasions, including daily wear, workwear, and special events. Available in sizes 6 to 22, including petite options, Hobbs aims to cater to a diverse customer base. The store also boasts a personal styling service, featuring a team of skilled stylists ready to provide tailored, flattering fashion advice to each customer.
The interior design of the store reflects a refined aesthetic, with a stone-style entrance, a carefully chosen colour scheme, and contemporary soft furnishings, all contributing to a welcoming shopping environment.
This development is part of a larger strategy at Atria Watford, which has seen significant investment from other renowned brands such as NEXT and ZARA in Charter Place. NEXT has introduced a comprehensive 94,000 square feet store, and ZARA has expanded to a 43,000 square feet premises, more than doubling the size of its previous location.
Atria Watford encompasses 1.4 million square feet of retail space, hosting a wide range of brands from independent boutiques to well-known names, further solidifying its position as a prime shopping and leisure destination. The centre’s diverse tenant lineup includes Mango, Uniqlo, and Hollister.
Steve Gray, Head of European Retail Asset Management at Global Mutual, shared his excitement about Hobbs joining Atria Watford, noting the brand’s fit with the centre’s goal of providing quality, choice, and outstanding in-store experiences to its visitors. Gray also acknowledged the significance of Charter Place reaching full occupancy, attributing the achievement to the compelling mix of brands and the positive effects on centre footfall and consumer expenditure.
