Specialist petcare retailer Just for Pets has teamed up with Just Eat, the UK’s largest delivery network, to bring same-day delivery of petcare essentials to millions of customers. This is a first-of-its-kind collaboration on such a scale, where an on-demand delivery platform partners with a specialist petcare brand. The service launches this week across 18 Just for Pets locations and one DOG store in Cirencester, with plans for broader expansion to other pet retailers in the coming months.

Through this partnership, pet owners can now conveniently order a wide range of petcare items, including dry, wet, and frozen raw foods for dogs and cats, treats, grooming supplies, and toys—all delivered to their doorstep via the Just Eat platform.

The collaboration is timely, following research by PA Consulting for Just Eat Takeaway.com earlier this year, which found that 75% of on-demand grocery customers believe it will become part of daily life. The study of 4,000 European users identified eight main reasons for grocery and retail orders on the app, including restocking staples, gift giving, and sending care packages. Just for Pets’ partnership with Just Eat is designed to meet these needs and provide even more options for petcare convenience.

Claire Pointon, Managing Director at Just Eat, expressed her excitement, stating: “The UK is a nation of ardent animal lovers, and we’re thrilled to team up with Just for Pets, allowing our millions of customers to treat their pets with ease. Demand for rapid delivery continues to grow, and Just Eat is proud to lead the way in convenience—whether it’s groceries, health and beauty, or now, emergency pet supplies.”

Paul Lewis, Managing Director at Just for Pets, added: “We’re delighted to be Just Eat’s first specialist pet partner, offering our customers more convenience. Whether it’s for heavier items or last-minute needs, our collaboration with Just Eat provides a quick and accessible way to shop for pet essentials.”

This new partnership is part of Just Eat’s broader strategy to meet consumer demand for convenience across a range of categories, following similar collaborations with Waitrose, Boots, Cardfactory, Richer Sounds, and HelloFresh.
