Primark has unveiled its most extensive breast cancer awareness collection to date, comprising 37 products designed to provide support and comfort to those affected by breast cancer. The collection, launching on 1 October to coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, will be available across all Primark stores in the UK. Alongside the new range, Primark will donate over £1 million to cancer charities worldwide, including £330,000 to Breast Cancer Now in the UK.

Primark’s latest initiative is a significant expansion of its ongoing support for breast cancer charities, with customers and colleagues invited to participate in fundraising activities throughout October to further boost donations.

A Collection Designed for Comfort and Solidarity

The new Breast Cancer Awareness collection features two distinct ranges, with prices starting at £4. The Post-Surgery Range has been created to prioritise comfort and ease for women recovering from breast cancer surgery. Key items include a zip-front wireless bra with a concealed zip and a t-shirt bra that fastens at the front, designed to be soft and easy to wear. Available in colours like soft pink, mocha, and black, these bras feature cotton or modal linings, prosthesis pockets, and are priced from £7.

The Solidarity Range, which celebrates Breast Cancer Awareness Month, includes a variety of leisurewear items such as hoodies, t-shirts, nightwear, and underwear. New additions to the collection include a pink knit jumper, a wide-leg pyjama set, and men’s seam-free boxers. Beauty products such as refreshing setting spray, lip oil, and glow cream primer, along with accessories like the popular pink travel mug, are also part of the offering.

Over £1 Million Donated to Cancer Charities

In addition to the product launch, Primark has pledged to donate over £1 million to support cancer charities across the UK, Europe, and the US. This includes more than £330,000 earmarked for Breast Cancer Now, which will fund vital research and services like the charity’s ‘Someone Like Me’ programme in the UK. The programme connects individuals affected by breast cancer with trained volunteers who have gone through similar experiences, offering support and guidance during a challenging time.

As part of the initiative, Breast Cancer Now volunteers will visit ten flagship Primark stores throughout October, providing information and advice to shoppers. This marks the second year Primark has fully funded the charity’s ‘Someone Like Me’ service, which delivered over 2,000 hours of personalised calls to individuals in need of comfort and support last year.

Supporting Breast Cancer Awareness with In-Store Initiatives

Rachael Franklin, Director of Fundraising, Communications, and Engagement at Breast Cancer Now, expressed her gratitude for the continued partnership with Primark, saying: “We’re incredibly grateful to be partnering with Primark once again, funding our vital Someone Like Me service for the second year. Last year, the funding allowed volunteers to make over 2,000 hours of personalised calls to people in need of support, comfort, and advice at an incredibly difficult time in their lives.”

Primark’s in-store fundraising initiatives, alongside awareness campaigns, will also play a crucial role in raising funds and spreading awareness throughout October. These efforts come as part of Primark’s fourth Breast Cancer Awareness campaign, which this year runs under the theme ‘We’re with you’. The campaign highlights the stories of five women from different countries, including the UK, who have been affected by breast cancer, shared through self-directed videos and photographs.

Continuing a Commitment to Breast Cancer Awareness

Kari Rodgers, UK Retail Director at Primark, said: “We’re committed to supporting women through all stages of their lives, and it’s incredibly moving to hear the stories of the real women featured in our ‘We’re with you’ campaign, who are each on their own inspiring breast cancer journeys.”

She added, “Breast cancer is something that can affect anyone, and I know so many of our customers and colleagues will have been touched by it in some way throughout their lives. That’s why we’re so proud to once again be working with Breast Cancer Now to continue raising awareness and donating vital funds, and to be offering customers our biggest ever range of affordable and accessible products to support those who really need it.”
