Scotmid and West Lothian based delivery platform, Scoffable, have announced an exciting new partnership that brings a fresh approach to grocery delivery across Scotland. This collaboration marks a significant milestone for Scoffable, a West Lothian-based platform known for transforming the takeaway experience, as it ventures into the grocery market for the very first time. With Scotmid as their exclusive grocery partner, the two organisations aim to enhance convenience for local communities across the country.
The partnership began in June with a trial in three Scotmid stores, where Scoffable’s platform tested customer demand and operational effectiveness. Following the trial’s success, the service will give coverage to 68 stores, bringing convenient grocery delivery to more households across Scotland.
Customers can choose from up to 7,000 items, depending on the size of the store, and have their groceries delivered in around an hour. With a delivery fee of just £3 and a service charge of 50p, the service offers a simple, affordable, and reliable way to shop locally from the comfort of home.
Daniel Jones, Co-founder of Scoffable, highlighted the importance of this new venture: “We’re delighted to bring Scoffable’s seamless ordering experience into the grocery market through our partnership with Scotmid. As our first move beyond takeaway, this collaboration is an exciting step for us.”
Stuart Forsyth, Food Online Development Manager at Scotmid, said, “We are proud to be Scoffable’s first grocery partner. Together, we are introducing a fantastic new service to the communities we serve. Scoffable’s strong reputation in the takeaway sector and their innovative platform make them an ideal partner as we expand our online grocery offering.”
