The Shop & Display Equipment Association (SDEA) confirmed a new Vice President at its 78th Annual General Meeting on 14 May 2025, marking a significant moment in the association’s leadership for the coming year. The appointment was one of several announcements made during the event, which brought together professionals from across the shopfitting, display, and design sectors.
Elected to the role is Antalis‘s Claire White, who steps into the position after serving three years on the SDEA council. She joins returning President Mark Chatterton of Morplan, ensuring both continuity and fresh perspective within the executive team.

“The SDEA continues to offer valuable and relevant support and advice across the very different sectors it encompasses within the shop fit, design and display industry, as well as providing key opportunities to liaise, network and, let’s not forget, celebrate, the immense creativity and successes of its members throughout the year,” said White. “Having been a council member for the past three years, I was incredibly excited, honoured and delighted to accept the role of Vice President for the coming year.”
The AGM also saw the election of three new Executive Council members, representing a broad cross-section of the industry. These are James North of Northbanks Design, Sally Scott of Quagga Design, and Ross Inanc of HOL Group. Their appointments aim to further strengthen the association’s governance through inclusive representation.
SDEA Director Antony Behiels commented: “We are delighted to welcome our new council members and look forward to the valuable perspectives they will bring. With Mark and Claire at the helm, the Association is well-positioned to continue championing innovation, collaboration, and excellence in the retail design and display industry.”
Another key moment from the AGM was the official opening of entries for the Creative Interiors Awards, co-organised by the SDEA. The awards are designed to recognise standout achievements in interior and display design and are now open for submissions from across the sector.

As the new Executive Council begins its term, the association aims to support continued growth and evolution within the retail display industry, ensuring that its members remain at the forefront of design and innovation.
