Swiss watchmaker Swatch is set to re-establish its presence in Liverpool. The brand has chosen Liverpool ONE, managed by Grosvenor, as the location for its new 600-square-foot store on Paradise Street. This addition to Liverpool ONE’s roster of high-end brands serves as a significant endorsement of the shopping destination, further cementing its status as a magnet for top-tier global retailers.
Swatch, a brand that has long been at the intersection of fashion and innovation, aims to offer Liverpool shoppers an extensive array of over 500 watches. The store will feature a diverse range of timepieces, from classic designs to modern collections. True to Swatch’s tech-forward ethos, the Liverpool ONE location will provide an interactive shopping experience. A special section, dubbed Swatch X You, will allow customers to personalize their watches, adding a unique touch to their purchases.
Rob Deacon, Asset Management Director at Grosvenor, had this to say: “Swatch’s decision to return to Liverpool ONE with its latest standalone concept store is a testament to our continued commitment to curating an innovative and distinctly unique line-up of retailers. We are hugely excited to be welcoming Swatch back to the city, and feel confident that it will sit comfortably among our stellar selection of watch and jewellery brands.”
Swatch is the latest Liverpool ONE development
This news comes on the heels of other recent retail developments at Liverpool ONE. Women’s active streetwear label, Red Run, has inaugurated its flagship store, while popular apparel and footwear brand, ARNE, has seen the successful return of its much-anticipated pop-up shop. These additions have been attracting hundreds of shoppers, adding to the destination’s allure.
Liverpool ONE has been managed by Grosvenor Britain & Ireland, part of the Grosvenor Group, one of the largest privately-owned property companies in the United Kingdom. The shopping destination has been a key player in the revitalization of Liverpool’s retail sector, offering a blend of shopping, dining, and entertainment options.
Metis and CBRE, two leading real estate firms, represented Liverpool ONE in the deal, while Swatch handled its side of the transaction directly.
