The Cotswold Company, a digitally-led brand specialising in handcrafted furniture and homeware, has officially opened its 11th UK showroom in Marlow. The new store, located on the high street, spans over 3,500 square feet and features a range of the brand’s best-selling collections, including bedroom, living, and dining furniture.

Founded in 1996 in the Cotswolds, The Cotswold Company combines traditional woodworking techniques with a digital-led omnichannel approach. Its Marlow showroom continues this tradition by showcasing its premium furniture collections alongside the new Upholstery Hub. The hub offers customers a selection of swatches, styles, and fabrics, along with take-home samples to help them make informed choices for their interiors.

The opening reflects the company’s strategy of balancing online and physical retail experiences. Ralph Tucker, CEO of The Cotswold Company, highlighted the importance of expanding into Buckinghamshire, stating:
“We’re excited to bring The Cotswold Company to Buckinghamshire with our new store in Marlow. This will create fantastic opportunities to introduce local consumers to our high-quality, made-to-last products, and inspire more to look beyond throwaway furniture.”

Positive Trading Results

The Marlow launch follows a strong trading period for The Cotswold Company. In the nine weeks to 29 December 2024, the company recorded a 22% increase in sales compared to the same period the previous year. E-commerce sales grew by 13%, while showroom sales saw a substantial 66% rise. This performance positions the company ahead of sector trends during the crucial Christmas period.

B Corp Certification Achieved

Another milestone for The Cotswold Company is its recent attainment of B Corp status, a certification that recognises businesses meeting high standards of social and environmental performance. This achievement aligns with the brand’s emphasis on sustainability, craftsmanship, and creating a positive impact.

Ralph Tucker also commented on the brand’s strategic progress and future goals:
