Shaftesbury Capital has recently announced the opening of Tissot’s first UK standalone flagship store in Covent Garden, a significant milestone for the Swiss watch brand, part of the Swatch Group. This new boutique stands as Tissot’s sole independent store in the UK, situated in the vibrant and historic shopping district of Covent Garden.

The flagship, located at 7 James Street, Covent Garden, offers an extensive selection of Tissot’s premium watches. The store’s design provides a modern, inviting atmosphere, displaying new products and fan-favorite collections such as the Tissot PRX, Seastar, T-Touch Connect, and Le Locle.

This flagship enhances Covent Garden’s already strong portfolio of luxury watches and fine jewellery retailers. It joins established names like Bucherer, Hublot, OMEGA, Tag Heuer, Tiffany & Co., and TUDOR, and recent additions such as Messika and Girard-Perreguax.

Michelle McGrath, Executive Director at Shaftesbury Capital, remarked on the opening: “Tissot has been an innovator within the watch industry for decades, boasting a rich heritage and historic brand journey. At Covent Garden, we endeavour to present the very best of retail across multiple categories, and there is a clear opportunity for Tissot to thrive and deliver timeless pieces and extend the range on offer for our visitors.”

Sylvain Dolla, CEO of Tissot, also commented on the expansion: “As we celebrate over 170 years of watchmaking heritage, this expansion in the heart of London and the popular Covent Garden specifically, is a significant stride in bringing our blend of tradition and modernity to a broader audience. We look forward to offering our customers an immersive experience that reflects the spirit of Tissot.”

Further enhancing Covent Garden’s retail diversity, the area recently welcomed luxury perfume house Creed at 14 King Street, contemporary demi-fine jewellery brand Missoma at 46 Monmouth Street, and independent British womenswear retailer Odd Muse at 33 Monmouth Street.
