Railpen, one of the UK’s most prominent pension managers, revealed that global fashion brands Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein have signed deals to set up shop at Caledonia Park.
The forthcoming Tommy Hilfiger outlet will occupy a 5,000 sq ft store, and Calvin Klein will take up 4,100 sq ft. Both stores will be located in prime spots within Caledonia Park and are slated to open this year. These retailers will join a roster of high-end brands already operating at the destination, such as BOSS, Polo by Ralph Lauren, and kate spade new york.
This development coincides with Caledonia Park recording its best-ever first quarter since it opened in 1999, with sales surging by 28.1% year on year in Q1. This upward trend continued into April, as sales rose by a further 24.5% compared to the same month last year, while footfall increased by 4.9%.
Maria Averkina, Asset and Development Manager at Railpen, commented on the new signings, stating, “Securing two premium international brands is a great step forward for Caledonia Park, and is a key moment of success in our leasing strategy. We have a critical mass of aspirational brands in the destination and, following the extensive refurbishment, we are continuing to see the results of our investment materialise with global retailers such as Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein choosing to position themselves here, as well as a number of other brands in the pipeline. These two retailers will elevate the destination further, and cement our position as not just Scotland’s premium designer outlet village, but one of the leading outlets in the UK.”
Johnstone Property Consultants and Time Retail Partners acted on behalf of Caledonia Park in these transactions.
