AshbyCapital, a property investment management company, has announced the addition of four new retailers to the Kensington Arcade and Wrights Arcade in West London. This move introduces a new 2,252 sq ft flagship branch of Urban Greens.
Urban Greens has selected Wrights Arcade in Kensington for its fourth London location, which will also be its first in the neighbourhood retail sector. This new outlet is set to open in January 2024 and will introduce a breakfast offering alongside its well-known healthy salad bar. The establishment also plans to provide a corporate orders and delivery service, serving the occupants of The Kensington Building located above the arcade.
Additionally, AshbyCapital has completed three lettings at the adjacent Kensington Arcade. The lingerie brand Intimissimi has leased a 1,113 sq ft space, while Chango Empanadas has secured a 470 sq ft store. Both are slated to open early next year. The patisserie Aux Merveilleux de Fred has recently inaugurated its 992 sq ft store in the arcade, joining the line-up of existing tenants, which includes Pret a Manger, Leonidas, and GAIL’s Bakery.
Tom Smithers, Property Director at AshbyCapital, commented on the recent developments, “Offering an incredibly vibrant cultural scene, shopping destination and an exceptional place to live and work, we are excited that so many retailers have seen the potential that Kensington offers their businesses. Intimissimi, Chango Empanadas and Aux Merveilleux de Fred’s arrival at the Kensington Arcade will broaden the already impressive mix of brands that are in place, and we are very excited to welcome Urban Greens to their new flagship store in Wrights Arcade where they will be expanding their natural kitchen concept with all-day dining.”
Echoing this sentiment, Rushil Ramjee, Co-Founder at Urban Greens, remarked, “When we were searching for our first neighbourhood location to expand to, Wright’s Arcade in Kensington ticked all the boxes – a brand-new high-quality space in a thriving area for residents, businesses and tourists. From January next year, we are looking forward to bringing our next-level salads to this new audience with an all-day offering. We’ll also be providing corporate orders and delivery from our new home, allowing companies at The Kensington Building and further afield to enjoy our renowned reinvention of healthy fast-food.”
The available retail units at Kensington Arcade are being marketed by Savills and Nash Bond, with a restaurant space at Wright’s Arcade offered through Distrkt.
