A New Era for Second-Hand Fashion

Known Source’s mission is to redefine second-hand fashion, empowering customers with confidence in their purchases and fostering an authentic, trusted community. The store presents a collection of circular, second-hand products, handpicked by expert dealers, offering vintage pieces from iconic brands like Adidas, Nike, Stone Island, Arc’teryx, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Miu Miu, alongside unbranded graphic t-shirts and specialist women’s vintage suits. All pieces are carefully selected by dealers such as Bad Mouth, Archive 89, and Second Wave.

The store refreshes its collection weekly, ensuring each visit offers a unique experience with new archive pieces on display. Designed with versatility in mind, the space also functions as an event hub, allowing Known Source to host community events and deepen connections with customers, all while showcasing its expertise in second-hand fashion curation.

Dealer Residency Programme

One of the store’s key features is the dealer residency, a custom rail dedicated to a new vintage dealer each week, allowing them to run their own pop-up within the shop. For the store’s debut, ARCHIVES by THIDVRT will be the first to curate the rail, showcasing a collection of classic vintage treasures and sought-after designer gems. Each week, a new dealer will take over, ensuring a constantly evolving collection and a fresh perspective on fashion’s past and present.

Embracing Circular Fashion

Known Source also introduces its ‘renew’ model, enabling any purchase from one of its dealers to be returned to the platform at any time. This process ensures that no textile waste is created, and each curated piece can have multiple lives through renewal, extending the emotional memory of the item and contributing to a more sustainable fashion cycle.

Theo El-Kattan, co-founder of Known Source, expressed his excitement about the store launch: “We’re thrilled to open our first long-term store at Westfield Stratford. This store marks a major step for us in promoting circular curation and creating a dedicated space for the second-hand fashion scene. A hub that doesn’t believe in individual genius but rather uniting a grassroots collective to spur consumer behaviour change. Our ever-changing collection of one-of-a-kind pieces and community events will lend itself to a dynamic, people-first, immersive experience. It’s exciting to bring our vision to life and welcome everyone to discover the stories behind each piece and its dealer.”
