Broadcaster and DJ Mollie King delighted shoppers and staff at Lark Southfields, an independent homeware and gift boutique, with a surprise DJ set to mark the launch of American Express presents Small Business Saturday Sessions.
The event, celebrating Small Business Saturday on 7 December, is part of an initiative led by American Express, the founder and principal supporter of the day. The Sessions aim to honour small businesses and their contribution to local communities with live performances in London, Manchester, and Birmingham.
Mollie, whose partner is a small business owner, is the headline act for the Sessions and will perform again at Lark Southfields. Other performances include Amex Unsigned artists singer Kianja at Unagi Manchester, and singer-songwriter Riya Gadher at Kilo Ziro in Birmingham.
Complimentary tickets for Mollie’s DJ set can be booked via Eventbrite. Attendees for the Manchester and Birmingham performances can secure a spot by booking directly with the respective venues.
The Small Business Saturday Sessions are part of the broader American Express Shop Small™ campaign, which encourages the nation to support local high streets and embrace the benefits of “shopping small.” This initiative is designed to highlight the importance of independent businesses and foster community connections.
