Peel Retail & Leisure has announced the opening of Berghaus‘s second standalone UK store at Gloucester Quays, strengthening the outlet’s already impressive line-up of outdoor retailers. The new store brings Berghaus’s outdoor-focused ethos and performance gear to the South West for the first time in a standalone format.
The 2,117 sq ft store, located opposite Adidas, offers a wide range of outdoor gear designed for all terrains and conditions. Visitors will find Berghaus classics such as waterproof jackets, a comprehensive range of insulated clothing, and a selection of daysacks and durable footwear. The brand’s outdoor wear is known for its focus on quality and comfort, ensuring that explorers of all levels are properly equipped for their adventures.
The store also introduces a new design concept for Berghaus, merging natural inspiration with functionality. The layout includes wooden furniture, metal finishes, and a 360-degree landscape design inspired by the local countryside. Life-like foliage adorns the exterior, further enhancing the store’s nature-inspired theme.
Paul Carter, Asset Director at Peel Retail & Leisure, remarked on the new opening, stating: “Berghaus is the latest in a series of top retailers that have committed to Gloucester Quays over the last 12 months and is exactly the calibre of brand that the outlet has become known for. Our dynamic line-up of outdoor-wear options is by design, with each new arrival responding to the needs of our catchment, and the opening of Berghaus’s second-ever UK standalone store and brand-new store concept will add even more diversity.”
Adam Gill, Head of Sales UK & Ireland for Pentland Brands, expressed his enthusiasm for the new store: “Berghaus is committed to helping people of all backgrounds access the outdoors, and our new store in Gloucester Quays has been designed to do that. We will welcome people in, inspire them, and make sure they leave with the right kit for whatever adventures they’re planning. Gloucester Quays is a top outlet, and the combination of its proximity to the Cotswolds and an urban hub means it is the ideal location for our second UK site.”
In addition to the opening of Berghaus, Gloucester Quays has recently seen a surge in new signings, including world-renowned F&B brands. Pret a Manger, Subway, and Krispy Kreme have all committed to the outlet, further enhancing its retail and dining offering.
