cardfactory has opened its 1,100th store in the UK, marking a new milestone with the launch of a branch at Brookfield Retail Park in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire. The store opened to customers on Thursday 31st July at 9 am.
The opening has resulted in the creation of twelve local jobs, with the team led by Regional Manager Maureen Wheele. To commemorate the occasion, cardfactory CEO Darcy Willson-Rymer and Executive Director of Retail Steve Lilley attended the official launch and welcomed the first customers into the store.

Steve Lilley, Executive Director of Retail at cardfactory, said:
“As a celebrations-focused business, we are thrilled to have officially hit the milestone of opening 1,100 stores across the UK and Ireland. This is a testament to our committed teams who help bring our new stores to life and focus on helping our customers celebrate life’s moments. The opening of our Cheshunt store represents the continued success and growth of our store estate, and we’re looking forward to welcoming customers to our new store.”
The new location at Brookfield Retail Park sits within a well-established retail destination in Hertfordshire, providing access to a range of national retailers and amenities. The Cheshunt store supports the company’s continued growth strategy in accessible and high-footfall areas.

cardfactory’s retail expansion continues to focus on bricks-and-mortar growth, with the Cheshunt site contributing to a broader rollout of stores across both high streets and retail parks in the UK and Ireland. The latest opening extends the company’s reach in the South East, reinforcing its national presence.
The store offers a full range of celebration products including greetings cards, gift wrap, balloons and party supplies. These items are aligned with the company’s aim to support customers preparing for birthdays, anniversaries, seasonal events and other special occasions.
This milestone follows a number of recent openings and underlines cardfactory’s continued investment in local retail. The business has not yet disclosed future store locations but maintains a focus on strategic physical expansion across the UK and Ireland.
