JD, renowned for its sports fashion and footwear, has unveiled a brand-new, expanded store at White Rose Shopping Centre in Leeds. Opening on Thursday, 21st November, the new showroom offers a vastly improved shopping experience with 15,537 sq. ft. of retail space, more than doubling the size of JD’s previous unit.
The relocation also triples the store’s frontage to an impressive 54 metres, enhancing its visibility and accessibility.
A Wider Range of Brands and New Experiences
Timed perfectly for the festive season, the larger JD store will feature an extensive selection of seasonal products from iconic brands like Nike, Adidas, The North Face, Under Armour, and New Balance. It also introduces new names to the lineup, including Columbia, Unlike Humans, and Levi’s, offering something for every shopper.
To celebrate the opening, JD has planned a series of in-store events and shopping centre experiences throughout the launch weekend. Live DJs will provide a vibrant shopping soundtrack, while street dancers JD BBoys—featuring Curtis Butler, Kelvin Clark, and Youness El Mouaffaq—will perform live on Saturday, 23rd November. An interactive pop-up within the centre will also give visitors a chance to win on-the-spot prizes.
From Friday, 6th December to Sunday, 8th December, Crep Protect will host their Cleaning Throne, offering sneaker aftercare services and the chance to win a pair of trainers through their “COP OR FLOP” game.
A Milestone for JD and White Rose
The opening represents a significant milestone for JD, which has been part of the White Rose Shopping Centre for nearly 20 years.

JD’s Christmas Campaign ‘Family’
The store opening coincides with JD’s highly anticipated 2024 Christmas campaign, ‘Family’, which celebrates the many forms of family connection through a vibrant and emotive film, ‘JD: Family Portrait’. Featuring British stars like Central Cee, Maya Jama, Paddy the Baddy, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Beta Squad, the campaign highlights authentic family moments, underscored by a bespoke edit of Jamie XX’s “Wanna.”
