Swiss premium chocolatier Läderach is expanding its UK footprint with a new store opening at 135 High Street Kensington in early November, celebrating its 200th global location. This marks a major milestone for the brand, which has already established flagship sites on Regent Street, in Westfield London, and within Harrods’ renowned Chocolate Hall.

Following recent launches in Covent Garden and on the King’s Road, the High Street Kensington store reflects Läderach’s plans for rapid UK growth, aiming to double its UK presence over the coming year. Stephan Stegen, UK General Manager of Läderach, expressed enthusiasm about this expansion, saying, “We are thrilled to open in one of London’s most iconic shopping areas, High Street Kensington. This new store reflects our confidence in the UK market and our customers’ growing appreciation for premium Swiss chocolate. With plans to double our presence in the UK over the next 12 months, we are excited to bring our handcrafted chocolates to even more locations across the country, including an upcoming location outside of the capital.”

Läderach’s handcrafted chocolates are celebrated globally for their quality, using premium ingredients sourced from Swiss suppliers with a focus on freshness. Its range includes FrischSchoggi (fresh chocolate slabs), pralines, and truffles, which have established Läderach as a favourite among chocolate connoisseurs worldwide.

The new store on High Street Kensington will offer a comprehensive Läderach experience, showcasing the brand’s full product range. This includes the signature FrischSchoggi™ counter, where customers can select chocolate slabs by weight, and a variety of offerings such as single-origin bars, chocolate popcorn, and seasonal collections. Each product is crafted in Switzerland from bean to bar, highlighting the brand’s commitment to quality and sustainable sourcing.

With a growing UK customer base, Läderach’s expansion aligns with the increasing demand for premium, artisanal chocolates. Operating since 1962, Läderach is Switzerland’s largest chocolate retailer, known for its high-quality, responsibly-sourced chocolates crafted directly from Switzerland. This latest store cements Läderach’s ambition to bring authentic Swiss chocolate to UK consumers, delivering what the company describes as “moments of joy” for chocolate lovers.
