Victoria Leeds, owned and operated by Redical, has welcomed the opening of Missoma, a contemporary demi-fine jewellery brand known for its responsibly made pieces. The store, which officially opened on Friday, 16th August, is Missoma’s second permanent location and its first standalone store outside London. Following the success of its Covent Garden location, which launched in November 2023, this new store reaffirms Victoria Leeds’ status as a premier shopping destination in the UK.

Situated in the County Arcade within Victoria Quarter, Missoma’s new flagship store spans 2,250 square feet over two levels. The design of the store is both striking and welcoming, reflecting the brand’s ethos of being cool, colourful, and confident. The store features curved edges and contrasting tones, creating an aesthetic that is instantly recognisable as Missoma. The brand’s Founder and Creative Director, Marisa Hordern, and her team have expanded on Missoma’s signature palette with a mix of inviting and earthy colours—such as apricot tan, rust, cool blue, pistachio, and malachite—selected to create a bright and energising atmosphere. The store also includes unique design elements like a mirrored ceiling, a large animated screen, neon signage, a bespoke checkerboard floor, and a custom collage.

Missoma Leeds has introduced its largest Piercing Studio yet, offering exclusive piercing studs that are not available elsewhere. Another standout feature of the store is the Welding Studio, which has proven popular in the Covent Garden store. Here, customers can purchase 14ct solid gold permanent bracelets and welding charms, adding a personal touch to their jewellery. Additionally, the store provides a complimentary instant engraving service for gifts bought in-store, enhancing the shopping experience.

The store showcases a wide range of Missoma’s iconic gold and silver pieces, including collaborations with well-known fashion designers and style icons such as Harris Reed, Savi, and Lucy Williams. Committed to sustainability, Missoma handcrafts its collections using 100% certified recycled gold and silver. The brand’s 14ct solid gold pieces are made with conflict-free diamonds, emeralds, baroque pearls, and blue sapphires, reflecting its ongoing efforts to maintain ethical and sustainable practices.

Rachel Bradburn, Leasing Director at Victoria Leeds, remarked on Missoma’s decision to open its first regional store in Leeds: “Missoma selecting Victoria Leeds as the destination for its first store outside of London reinforces our reputation as a renowned destination offering opportunities for brands to confidently embark on regional growth in the UK. We are excited to be a part of Missoma’s journey and to welcome customers through the door to explore exceptional demi-fine jewellery.”

Marisa Hordern, Founder and Creative Director at Missoma, echoed this sentiment, stating: “Community is at the heart of what we do, and Victoria Leeds offers a highly engaging environment that aligns perfectly with our values. We aim to inspire confidence and encourage self-expression in all our customers and are excited to grow our Leeds community and embark on this next chapter.”

Missoma’s arrival complements the existing collection of prestigious jewellers in Victoria Leeds, which includes Boodles, Monica Vinader, Berry’s, and Astrid & Miyu. The opening of Missoma follows the recent announcement that Barbour, a British heritage and lifestyle brand, will also be opening its first standalone store in Victoria Quarter in August.
