M&S has officially reopened in Bristol city centre with the launch of a new 80,000 square foot flagship store at Cabot Circus. The new location opened its doors this morning and spans three floors, offering a full-line range of food, fashion, home and beauty just in time for the festive season.
The store features a modern market-style foodhall on the lower ground level, where customers can find fresh produce sourced from M&S’ 1,200 Select Farm partners across the South West. The space includes an in-store bakery, hot chicken counter, Mai Sushi bar and a 200-seat coffee shop serving barista-made drinks and seasonal menu items.

Across two fashion floors, M&S has introduced its largest in-store beauty offering to date, with nearly 3,000 square feet dedicated to its own brands such as Apothecary and Fresh Elements, as well as third-party favourites including Estée Lauder and Clinique. Womenswear features party season collections, including 15 variations of the classic black dress and bestsellers like the velvet and satin wide-leg trousers.

The home department includes pieces from the latest M&S x Kelly Hoppen edit, with modern seasonal items like the Christmas Joy two-wick jar candle. Meanwhile, in Kidswear, festive party outfits and winter essentials are on display.

Menswear, located on the upper level, includes the latest Autograph range and tailored looks designed for the winter season.

Ali Ivery, Regional Manager at M&S, said: “We have a long history here in Bristol, dating back to 1900, and so it is brilliant to be back today, with our brand-new 80,000 sq ft flagship Cabot Circus store. Over three floors, we have the very best of M&S Food, Fashion and Home waiting for customers, including our biggest ever in-store beauty offer. So, there is plenty to explore.
It’s fantastic to be making such a significant investment in the city and the opening has created over 150 new jobs. We have a great supplier base here and work with over 1,200 Select Farm partners across the region. Our focus now is on delivering trusted value, unbeatable quality and that touch of M&S magic for customers in the run up to Christmas and beyond.”

The store’s return to Bristol comes as part of a wider investment plan from M&S, which includes more than 20 new or renewed locations opening in the second half of the financial year. A second full-line flagship is due to open in Bath Southgate in February.
Paul O’Brien, Director of Leasing and Commercialisation Performance at Hammerson, which owns and manages Cabot Circus, added: “As the number one most requested brand by our customers, we couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome M&S back into the heart of Bristol. With queues of customers snaking around Cabot Circus, we know this retail giant will be a major boost to the destination and the city more generally.”
