Liverpool ONE, owned by Landsec, has confirmed that international toy retailer POP MART will open its largest UK store to date at the retail and entertainment destination, marking the brand’s debut in Liverpool.
Set to occupy a 6,200 sq ft unit on the upper South John Street, the store will be located near fellow design-led lifestyle retailers KENJI and MINISO. POP MART’s new outlet will stock its full range of collectable blind boxes, featuring characters exclusive to the brand such as Hirono, Crybaby, Peach Riot, Kubo, Skullpanda, and The Monsters, also known as Labubus. The products have gained a reputation for rapid sell-outs on launch.

Rob Deacon, Director of Asset Management at Liverpool ONE – Landsec, said: “With regular sell-out product launches, POP MART has proven a viral sensation, and the store is set to appeal to a wide range of consumers across the North West. The brand launching its biggest UK store yet will provide yet another distinct point of difference to the destination, reinforcing Liverpool ONE’s position as a go-to location for globally renowned brands and one of the leading retail and entertainment destinations in the UK.”
Peter Shipman, Managing Director of Europe at POP MART, commented: “We’re working hard to extend POP MART to leading locations across the UK, and when it came to our next launch, Liverpool ONE was the clear choice. Liverpool is my hometown, so I’m especially excited about this opening. We know we will be welcomed with open arms, and we can’t wait to deliver products featuring the characters our customers know and love to a whole new city.”
This announcement follows a series of recent signings and store openings at Liverpool ONE, which is experiencing its busiest year for new retail launches since 2008. In July, MINISO opened its own 3,000 sq ft store at the destination, joining other recent arrivals including Sephora, TFG London, and Uniqlo. By the end of 2025, Liverpool ONE expects to have welcomed more than 25 new brands across a combined 100,000 sq ft of retail space.
The continued demand from retailers highlights the attraction of Liverpool ONE as a location for both established and emerging brands seeking strong footfall and a broad consumer base. This expansion aligns with the centre’s strategy of curating a mix of international, national, and lifestyle-led brands to strengthen its appeal.
Property agents CBRE, Colliers, and Time Retail Partners represented Liverpool ONE in the transaction, while Cushman & Wakefield acted on behalf of POP MART.
