Pricer, the leading in-store automation and communication solutions provider, has announced the launch of its latest innovation, Pricer Avenue™, to evolve the role of traditional Electronic Shelf Labels (ESLs) and deliver enhanced and connected in-aisle experiences.
A bold, new modular ESL system, Pricer Avenue™ redefines traditional aisle experiences, offering new ways for retailers to compose, build, run and merchandise the shelf-edge digtally. Transforming the aisle into a connected and dynamic communication platform, the new solution helps retailers reimagine the shelf, powering greater operational efficiencies and enhancing seamless customer experiences in-store.
Featuring new sleek and low-profile ESLs, designed by celebrated Swedish industrial designer Nikolaus Frank, the solution offers advanced modularity, allowing retailers to either display a singular label or connect a number of ESLs together to build Floating Canvasses’ of larger connected, digital displays, to more effectively merchandise the shelf-edge. As well as delivering more agility and flexibility, the ‘snap-and-lock’ labels feature best-in-class readability, perfect contrast and glare-free clarity that bring brand messages to life, delivering compelling and immersive story-telling in-store.
At the centre of the Pricer Avenue™ system is a communication rail that combines power supply with data connectivity. This unlocks new use cases for shelf-edge transformation, from new revenue streams such as Retail Media Networks (RMNs) to camera-powered replenishment and sensors to monitor shopper behaviour in-aisle to optimise store layout, planograms and engagement opportunities.
In collaboration with Epishine, Pricer has also integrated light-harvesting technology to power the Pricer Avenue™ rails, using an innovation that captures indoor light to make the ESLs self-powered, eliminating the need for batteries, adding further flexibility to digital shelf-edge transformation.
