Today marks a significant milestone for the LEGO Group as it opens its second store in Ireland, situated in the bustling Blanchardstown Shopping Centre in Dublin. This comes after the resounding success of its first Irish store, which was launched on Grafton Street in August 2022.

The new LEGO Store in Blanchardstown is not just a retail outlet; it’s a haven for LEGO enthusiasts of all ages. The store spans 186 square meters and offers an array of exclusive products, including the newly released LEGO Icons Concorde and the LEGO Star Wars™ Venator Class Republic Attack Cruiser. Additionally, members of the LEGO Insiders program can look forward to exclusive gifts, double points events, and other special offers.

The store goes beyond merely selling sets. It offers a range of interactive experiences designed to engage customers:

  • LEGO Pick-A-Brick Wall: This feature allows customers to handpick individual LEGO elements they need for their projects, offering a variety of colors, shapes, and sizes.
  • Build-a-Minifigure Tower: Here, visitors can create their own custom LEGO Minifigures by choosing from a wide selection of parts, including heads, torsos, and accessories.
  • Hands-on Play Opportunities: The store will host free build challenges and events each month to engage the community.
  • Store Associates: Knowledgeable staff are on hand to assist customers in finding the perfect set, whether they are gift shopping or treating a LEGO fan to something special.

To celebrate the store’s grand opening, a Halloween Ghost Hunt will be held from October 26th to 31st, along with a free Black Cat Make & Take activity on October 28th and 29th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Amy Pearson, Director, EMEA Marketing at LEGO Retail, expressed her enthusiasm: “We’re always so excited to bring new LEGO Stores to local communities and it’s been very special to open this one in Blanchardstown Shopping Centre. We’ve had a fantastic turn out already on opening day and we look forward to welcoming more LEGO fans from across Dublin and neighbouring counties to experience what the store has to offer, which includes brilliant LEGO play experiences for all ages and a range of much-loved sets.”

Isobel Graham, Senior Director Head of Marketing LEGO UK/Ireland, added: “As the LEGO Group’s second store in Ireland, we know there has been much excitement locally around this opening and it has been great to see so many people turn up to the launch today to enjoy the new store. Blanchardstown has a strong community pulse and is the shopping destination of choice for people far and wide across Ireland. We’re really looking forward for more people in the region to be able to fully immerse themselves in the joy of LEGO building.”

Sharon Walsh, Leasing Director, Asset Manager for Blanchardstown Centre, also commented: “It’s great to have the LEGO store now open and we know adults and children alike will be hugely excited to visit the brand’s experiential store. We are always on the lookout for stores offering something different for our customers and the interactive amenities such as the Pick-A-Brick Wall, Build-a-Minifigure Tower and extensive range of sets of products is what makes Blanchardstown Centre such a top destination in the Dublin area.”

The first LEGO Store in Ireland, located on Grafton Street, had an extremely successful inaugural year, which has contributed to the LEGO Group’s decision to open a second location. The Blanchardstown store is situated on Level 2 of the Blanchardstown Centre, with opening hours from 9 am to 9 pm on weekdays, 9 am to 7 pm on Saturdays, and 10 am to 6 pm on Sundays.

With the opening of its second store in Ireland, the LEGO Group continues to expand its retail footprint, offering more than just products but an immersive experience for LEGO enthusiasts.
