Temu Expands Seller Education With Product Safety Partners
Temu is extending its seller education programme through partnerships with global testing and certification specialists, providing training on product safety, regulatory requirements and certification across international markets.
Temu is expanding its seller education programme in collaboration with eight global product testing and certification organisations, including Bureau Veritas, QIMA and TÜV SÜD.
The courses are intended to help sellers understand the product safety, testing and certification requirements applying to their products in different markets. Delivered through the Temu Seller Academy, the livestreamed sessions give sellers direct access to independent specialists, alongside testing and certification support available through the platform.
Sessions held in August recorded more than 4,000 views in total and more than 2,000 interactions from sellers.
Product Safety And Certification Training
Bureau Veritas delivered an overview of European toy safety requirements, covering regulatory developments, labelling requirements and physical and chemical risks.
TÜV SÜD addressed testing and certification requirements for children’s toys in Europe and the United States, with a focus on mitigating risks through product design and material selection.
The programme is being delivered with testing and certification organisations including QIMA. The August programme also included a session from SPEAC, an EU-funded product safety project, covering the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation and its practical requirements for online sellers.
Further sessions are planned across electronics, textiles, footwear, cosmetics and food-contact materials.
“Every new market brings fresh obligations, from product safety rules to testing and certification,” “By organizing these training sessions with industry leaders, we give sellers direct access to specialists and practical information they can apply to their own operations and products.”

Wider Support For Marketplace Sellers
The education programme forms part of Temu’s broader support for businesses selling through its marketplace, alongside activity intended to address some of the practical requirements associated with selling through additional online channels.
During the first half of 2026, Temu held more than 100 meetings with trade associations, chambers of commerce and start-up networks across Europe to understand the challenges faced by small businesses selling online. The practical requirements of operating across multiple markets were raised consistently during those discussions and are informing the company’s wider seller support.
Alongside the training programme, Temu provides dedicated onboarding teams through its Local Seller Program. Sellers can also connect existing business software to the marketplace through more than 200 ERP integrations.
Temu also provides access to a network of more than 150 delivery providers across Europe, including DHL Group and La Poste.
The company has been extending its links with European business organisations through memorandums of understanding with Start:up Slovenia, Portugal’s APDC, Cyprus’s CITEA and Switzerland’s SKV, covering knowledge-sharing activities.
Temu has also joined Cross-Border Commerce Europe to participate in dialogue around cross-border e-commerce within the EU.
