Wex Photo Video, the UK’s largest specialist photographic retailer, has announced the launch of its latest store, located on Haddington Place in the heart of Edinburgh. This new outlet is set to replace the company’s previous Bonnington location, opening its doors to the public on the 3rd of May 2024, with an inaugural event featuring award-winning documentary photographer Sophie Gerrard.

The store’s opening aligns with Wex Photo Video’s ongoing expansion in Edinburgh, aimed at reaching a broader customer base with a variety of photographic equipment and comprehensive technical support. The location is particularly advantageous given Edinburgh’s large student population of nearly 50,000, who will benefit from tailored support through the Wex Student Hub, offering free online courses and practical photography tips.

Customers visiting the new store will find an extensive range of photographic equipment and services. The team, consisting of industry experts, will provide impartial buying advice and valuable technical assistance, maintaining the high standard of customer service associated with all Wex Photo Video stores.

The product offerings include an array of gear from leading brands such as Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, Panasonic Lumix, Manfrotto, and DJI. These span across various categories including mirrorless cameras, lenses, camera accessories, video and audio equipment, studio accessories, and niche fields such as astronomy and optics.

Louis Wahl, Chief Executive Officer at Wex Photo Video, commented on the new location, stating, “The relocation of our Edinburgh store provides greater opportunity to help our customers, old and new, with support and equipment to bring their visions to life. Enthusiasts and professionals in the city are already familiar with our offering and their interest and passion in photography has led us to increase our investment here. We’re looking forward to officially opening the doors and welcoming Sophie Gerrard to help us celebrate this moment.”
