ZARA is poised to make a significant move within Leeds, upsizing and relocating from its current Briggate location to a larger, state-of-the-art flagship store in the heart of the city at Trinity Leeds. The spacious 46,000 sq ft store will house ZARA’s Woman, Man, and Kids collections, offering a comprehensive shopping experience to its patrons.
The new store will incorporate ZARA’s latest tech innovations, showcasing an integrated online and physical store platform to ensure a smooth, seamless shopping journey for customers. This move is part of the strategic optimisation plan by ZARA’s parent company, Inditex, to establish larger, superior, and aesthetically pleasing stores in top-tier retail locations worldwide.
Trinity, situated in the pulsating centre of Leeds, is the region’s premier shopping destination. In response to evolving consumer behaviours, brands are increasingly focusing on high-performing, flagship locations, making prominent, catchment-dominant destinations like Trinity increasingly appealing. ZARA joins the ranks of brands like Levi, Space NK, and Nespresso that have opted to relocate to Trinity from other locations within the city, further intensifying the ‘flight to prime’ trend.
Commenting on the move, Nik Porter, Head of Brand Account Management at Landsec, said, “As consumers increasingly seek a superior shopping experience, brands are prioritising prime locations that drive footfall, facilitate exceptional customer service, and integrate in-store and online shopping experiences. Our retail strategy is designed to work holistically with brands, helping them find optimal locations and ensuring their physical presence complements their broader multichannel approach.”
