The Retail Technology Show (RTS), the flagship event that connects retail’s changemakers and tech innovators, has announced the shortlist of its 2025 Innovation Awards, which champions the progressive technologies powering retail transformation.
Every year, the RTS Innovation Awards highlight the best examples of game-changing solutions from across the RTS exhibition floor. The award programme hand-picks those technologies that have the power to unlock competitive advantage and digitally transform retailers’ capabilities – whether its AI solutions that drive efficiencies or power promotions, to tech that digitally connects the shelf-edge and innovations that optimise product information.

The awards are judged by an expert panel made up of the RTS Advisory Board, as well as industry analysts and influencers, such as NBK Consulting’s Natalie Berg, IGD’s Toby Pickard, Andrew Busby, Retail Connection’s Chris Field, and OB&Co’s Oliver Banks.
The top ten innovations selected for the shortlist in 2025, listed in alphabetical order, are:
AIPERIA (stand #SU18) – An AI solution that redefines ultra-fresh food management, using over 150 data points to generate precise demand forecasts, ensuring the right product availability while minimising waste and maximising profitability for grocers.
Akeneo (stand #N10) – Shortlisted for its new PX Insights solution, Akeneo is the leading Product Experience (PX) company. PX Insights uses AI to build customer reviews, ratings, and search behaviour into product data, increasing discoverability in intent-based search, growing sales and reducing returns.
Differs (stand #E40) – A predictive AI SaaS solution that optimises discounts for each product, allowing retailers, including Sephora and H&M, to sell more at higher prices, protecting margins and optimising markdowns to generate sell-through.
Glanceable (stand #E40) – An AI-powered customer experience platform, Glanceable centralises customer feedback – from reviews, feedback and calls – providing real-time improvements to services or products with AI-generated, personalised responses to streamline engagement and boost CX.
invent.ai (stand #E60) – A promotions, markdown and pricing optimisation solution, invent.ai integrates inventory constraints, financial goals and demand forecasts to dynamically adjust prices and promotions across stores, channels and product categories, maximising profits and reducing waste.

PervasID (stand #G20) – Its latest TrackMaster 2X fixed RFID reader is shortlisted for its ability to deliver both real-time stock accuracy and 2m location accuracy for all retail store inventory. Removing the need for handheld scanning and delivering critical data within minutes to the retailer, it boosts CX while improving on-shelf availability.
Pricer (stand #G41) – The new Pricer Avenue™ evolves the role of Electronic Shelf Labels (ESLs), delivering enhanced and connected in-aisle experiences. Digitally transforming the shelf-edge into a CX platform, it delivers brand-rich in-aisle customer engagement and retail media activations, while elevating ESLs as the ‘glue’ connecting other in-store tech to unlock operational efficiencies and labour productivity.
Profitmind (stand #SU04) – A SaaS solution which uses machine learning (ML), generative AI and agentic AI to track competitors, Profitmind analyses internal data and surfaces fast-impact revenue and margin growth opportunities to increase productivity, transparency and profitability.
Yellow Sub AI (stand #SU02) – Able to uncover footfall and spending patterns, anywhere and in real-time, Yellow Sub AI is a software-only footfall analytics provider. Delivering insights on the number of people in any location globally and predicting transaction volumes, the solution operates without the need for hardware or sensors.
Matt Bradley, Event Director at the Retail Technology Show, commented: “Always hotly contended, the breadth and depth of the tech – and the sheer scale of capabilities on display – in this year’s Innovation Awards was simply phenomenal. I don’t envy the judges in picking a winner from the smorgasbord of innovation and high-calibre entries we received in the 2025 programme. We wish all the shortlisted tech providers the very best of luck and look forward to the big reveal when we crown the winner at the show.”
The winner of the RTS 2025 Innovation Awards will be crowned at RTS, which debuts at its new home, London ExCeL on 02 & 03 April 2025, with the winner announced during the BIG Retail Party, held at the end of Day 1 within RTS’ Carnival Wonderland.
