The Retail Technology Show has named Vusion as winner of its 2026 Innovation Award, recognising the company’s EdgeSense platform following the close of this year’s event in London.
Vusion has been named winner of the Retail Technology Show’s 2026 Innovation Awards.
The annual awards programme, run by the Retail Technology Show, recognises standout solutions from across the retail technology sector. This year’s event took place in London on 22–23 April 2026 and brought together retailers and technology providers from across Europe.
Vusion was selected for EdgeSense, its AI operating system that connects more than 250 million endpoints globally. The platform uses electronic shelf labels, AI cameras and sensors to support a single intelligent network. Already deployed across several global retailers, including Carrefour, EdgeSense is designed to automate pricing, optimise merchandising, improve inventory accuracy and reduce shrink.
The 2026 Innovation Awards were judged by a panel of retail experts, including retail influencer Andrew Busby, Retail Disrupted podcast host Natalie Berg, retail consultant Oliver Banks and IGD analyst Toby Pickard. Judges highlighted Vusion’s scalability, multi-use benefits and interconnectivity, as well as its role in helping retailers digitalise store operations and improve performance.
“Physical retail is where brands connect with their customers, which is why we’re witnessing rapid digital transformation. Vusion is at the forefront of this and is reshaping the store experience for both store colleagues and customers, making them very worthy winners of the RTS Innovation Awards.”
Andrew Busby, Retail Analyst and Senior Advisor at BOXTEC
“In today’s retail landscape, innovation lies at the heart of unlocking competitive advantage, and shows like the Retail Technology Show sit at the forefront of that strategy, making this award the more meaningful,”
Roy Horgan, Group SEVP, Strategy, Marketing & Communications at Vusion
“With operational costs continuing to rise, technology remains one of the last bastions of productivity – and innovation sits undeniably at the intersection of unlocking greater effectiveness and business performance. As digital transformation evolves, the RTS’ judging panel has recognised that EdgeSense is where data and physical retail converge,”
Roy Horgan, Group SEVP, Strategy, Marketing & Communications at Vusion
The award was presented to Vusion by RTS Founder & Event Director Matt Bradley at the BIG Retail Party, which took place at the end of day one at the Champagne Bar, sponsored by PMC.
“Every year the hotly contested Innovation Awards celebrate tech that tracks ahead of the hype curve, and Vusion is a worthy winner. With its vision of a truly connected store tech ecosystem, Vusion is pushing the boundaries of how effective and interoperable innovation can unlock layers of new intelligence within bricks-and-mortar operations.”
Matt Bradley, Founder & Event Director of RTS
