Primark has opened a landmark flagship store at Herald Square in Manhattan, strengthening its US presence and adding an eleventh New York State location.
Primark has opened its landmark flagship store at Herald Square in Manhattan’s PENN DISTRICT, continuing the international clothing retailer’s expansion across the US.
The retailer, which offers fashion at value prices, opened its first US store at Downtown Crossing in Boston in 2015. Primark has since grown to 40 locations across 13 states.
The Herald Square opening follows recent US launches in Miami, Florida; Grapevine and Katy, Texas; Gurnee, Illinois; and Hurst, Texas. It also becomes Primark’s eleventh store in New York State, supporting demand from shoppers in the region.
“Our flagship at Herald Square is a defining moment for Primark’s US growth story,” said Kevin Tulip, President of Primark US. “New York is a city where trends are born and where style is worn with unstoppable confidence. But great style should not come with an impossible price tag and that’s where Primark comes in. From quality styles to value prices, we’re inviting every NYC shopper to our Manhattan doorstep as we open our doors in the epicenter of American fashion.”

The Herald Square flagship is positioned to capture commuter and tourist footfall, with more than 54,000 sq ft of retail selling space.
