FACEGYM has opened its first Yorkshire facial workout studio at Victoria Leeds, taking a 1,772 sq ft unit within Victoria Gate.

The opening marks the London-founded beauty and wellness brand’s second standalone UK location outside the capital and continues its expansion across the UK.

The Leeds studio offers FACEGYM’s non-invasive facial workouts, combining massage techniques, skincare, tools and technology. The concept is based around exercising more than 40 muscles in the face, with sessions structured around a warm-up, cardio, sculpting and cool-down and delivered by specially trained FACEGYM Trainers.

Techniques used during the workouts include whipping, knuckling and deep muscle manipulation, alongside electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) technology designed to activate facial muscles.

Founded in London by beauty and wellness entrepreneur and former Financial Times columnist Inge Theron, FACEGYM developed its facial fitness concept as an alternative approach to the traditional facial, incorporating facial muscle training into beauty and wellbeing routines.

“Leeds is an incredibly exciting next step for FACEGYM as we continue to grow our presence across the UK. Yorkshire has such a strong and thriving fitness, beauty and wellness community, and we see a real opportunity to introduce facial fitness to a new audience here. Victoria Leeds felt like the perfect home for our first Yorkshire studio and we’re incredibly excited to officially open our doors to the city.”

Angelo Castello, CEO, FACEGYM

The Leeds location is operated with franchise partner Today Forever.

“We’re so excited to finally open the doors to FACEGYM Leeds and welcome the city into our new home at Victoria Leeds.
“We’re looking forward to introducing people to a completely different kind of workout. FACEGYM is all about energy, movement and results, and you can see and feel the difference after a single session.”

George Martin, Operations Director, Today Forever

FACEGYM’s arrival adds another wellness operator to Victoria Leeds, where ALO opened its 6,707 sq ft Victoria Quarter store earlier this year. The destination has also expanded its health and wellness offer through the arrival of Randox Health at Victoria Quarter.

James Edmondson, Asset Manager at Redical, commented:

“As the demand for premium, experiential wellness grows, it is brands like FACEGYM that deliver this offer to an exemplary standard. Victoria Leeds is already home to some of the best in retail and F&B, so this diversification in our tenant mix only takes us to the next level. This opening, alongside the recent launch of Randox Health, reminds us that destinations are much more than just a place to shop, and the decision for FACEGYM to launch this milestone store in Victoria Gate firmly reflects our position as a prime, mixed-use pitch.”
