Superdrug has reopened its refurbished store at Merry Hill following a major transformation that has made the 12,831 sq ft location the largest store in its UK estate.
The Upper Mall store, at the Merry Hill shopping centre in Brierley Hill, has created 15 permanent roles, with a further 10 seasonal positions planned for the Christmas period. The destination is owned and operated by Redical.

The investment forms part of Superdrug’s wider bricks-and-mortar expansion programme, under which the retailer plans to open 30 new UK stores during 2026. The reopening also follows earlier plans to significantly upsize Superdrug’s presence at Merry Hill as part of continued investment in the destination.
Expanded Beauty and Health Offer
The refurbished store carries an expanded selection of international and trending beauty brands, including Biodance and Medicube, alongside Superdrug own-brand ranges Studio London, B. Skin, Me+, Vitamin E and Optimum.
An extended premium fragrance range has also been introduced, while services within the store include a pharmacy, aesthetics clinic and piercing studio.
Superdrug is continuing the expansion of its accredited Aesthetics Clinic offer at the location. The clinic is registered with the Care Quality Commission and provides regulated aesthetic treatments on the high street.
Customers can also join Superdrug’s Health & Beautycard and VIP Rewards programmes, through which members can earn and redeem points and access benefits including member pricing, bonus-point promotions, birthday treats and payment using accumulated points.
Opening-day activity includes a live DJ set, while the first 50 customers through the doors will receive a £10 Superdrug voucher.

“We’re delighted to be opening the doors to our newly refurbished store at Merry Hill, which is now the largest store in our estate. The 12,831 sq. ft. store brings together everything customers love about Superdrug, from great value across health, beauty and wellbeing to the latest international beauty trends and much-loved own-brand favourites.”
