Cambridge Satchel has opened a new store in Bath, becoming the brand’s fourth new retail site of 2025 and sixth overall in the United Kingdom. The latest addition follows store launches in Windsor, Edinburgh and Paris earlier this year, supporting the company’s ongoing strategy to increase its physical retail presence both domestically and abroad.
Situated on New Bond Street, the Bath location brings Cambridge Satchel’s distinctive British aesthetic to the heart of the city. Known for its Georgian architecture and historical status as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Bath provides a fitting backdrop for the brand’s focus on craftsmanship and heritage-inspired design.

The store occupies a four-storey Georgian townhouse, with 67 square metres of dedicated retail space across two floors. The interior was developed under the direction of Chief Executive Officer Carine De Koenigswarter and realised by Atelier A&D. The design incorporates warm, neutral tones inspired by the city’s iconic Bath stone, paired with walnut panelling and a large-format lightbox that forms the focal point of the space.

In keeping with its setting, the store’s exterior has been repainted in a soft, complementary palette, and is marked by a dark bronze sign. Display windows feature handcrafted dark bronze wire cubes made in Sheffield from locally sourced steel, adding a subtle industrial element to the presentation of the brand’s leather goods.
“We are thrilled to open in the historic city of Bath and this store is a key milestone in our strategic retail expansion both in the UK and internationally,” said Carine De Koenigswarter. “Cambridge Satchel’s devotion to craftsmanship and made-in-the-UK is reflected in our sixth UK retail location.”

The Bath store offers the brand’s full product range, including collections for both men and women. Shoppers will find crossbody bags, satchels, handbags, tote bags, backpacks, briefcases and trunks. The brand’s merchandise is presented against a backdrop that blends traditional materials with contemporary styling cues.

This latest opening signals Cambridge Satchel’s continued push into premium high street retail locations and underscores its commitment to UK-based manufacturing and design. Further expansion plans have not been disclosed, but the company has indicated that it is continuing to evaluate opportunities for growth across key international markets.
