The Walt Disney Company and King Jouet are launching the first “Star Wars Store by King Jouet” pop-up store in Paris, opening on 30 April at Les Halles in the centre of the French capital.
The temporary retail concept brings together The Walt Disney Company and King Jouet at the start of a significant two-year period for the Star Wars franchise, ahead of the release of Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu in May 2026, the year-long celebration of the franchise’s 50th anniversary in 2027, and the planned cinema release of Starfighter in May 2027.

Immersive Two-Level Concept
Spanning 300 sq m, the store has been designed as a pop culture destination for fans and families, with two spaces dedicated to the saga. One area focuses on classic Star Wars characters, while the other is themed around Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, the forthcoming Lucasfilm film that marks the franchise’s return to cinemas on 20 May.
The exterior and ground floor have been designed to immerse visitors in the Star Wars universe from the outset, using a retro-futuristic visual language, themed scenography, life-size characters and dedicated photo opportunities.
On the first floor, the design shifts to a starship-inspired setting, with metallic tones intended to reference armour and helmets reflected through the layout and furniture.
Events, Café And Product Offer
The store will also include a lightsaber creation station and demonstrations of the new LEGO Smart Play range. A Star Wars-themed café will serve food and drink inspired by characters from the saga.
Alongside the retail offer, the pop-up will host themed events and an activity programme across selected weekends. The store will carry around 1,000 product references, including books, toys, an exclusive fashion collection and beauty products.
The opening positions the concept as a temporary experiential destination, combining retail, entertainment and food and beverage in a format designed to broaden fan engagement in the run-up to several major franchise milestones.
