Don Julio Tequila has launched its first ever UK concession at Selfridges Manchester Trafford Centre. Timed for the Christmas gifting season, the new retail space brings a dedicated showcase of Don Julio’s ultra premium tequila to one of Manchester’s major shopping destinations.
The concession marks a UK retail milestone for the Diageo owned brand and introduces several new elements for customers. Most notably, the site features the UK’s first Don Julio 1942 vending machine, a large-scale installation that dispenses 5cl mini bottles of the luxury tequila. For £20, guests can purchase a Don Julio coin, redeemable exclusively at the vending unit, offering a novelty approach to luxury spirits.

Beyond the vending machine, the space highlights a range of personalised gifting options. An engraving station is available for customers to create bespoke tequila bottles, ideal for festive presents. A selection of gift-with-purchase offerings, including Don Julio 1942 sleeves, 5cl gift packs and seasonal accessories, enhances the customer experience, turning the concession into a destination for premium tequila gifting.

The wider Don Julio range is also on display, including Don Julio Blanco and Don Julio Reposado, both well suited for at home cocktail mixing. These sit alongside other Diageo spirits such as Casamigos, Johnnie Walker and The Singleton, all available within the Selfridges spirits department.

Bethany Western, Head of Tequila at Don Julio, said: “At Don Julio Tequila, we aim to be an icon of celebration; a brand that embodies Mexican authenticity and craftsmanship while inspiring moments of true connection. Partnering with Selfridges to launch our first UK concession in Manchester marks an exciting step in taking Don Julio Tequila regionally, bringing our world of modern Mexican luxury to one of the country’s most vibrant cultural hubs. Manchester’s bold, creative energy perfectly reflects the spirit of Don Julio, and this space allows us to celebrate that shared passion for culture, community and craftsmanship.”

The installation is designed as a permanent fixture and will continue operating beyond the festive period. It reflects Don Julio’s intent to grow regional visibility and connect more directly with UK consumers through immersive retail experiences.
