Integrated Systems Europe

Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) returns to Barcelona from 2–5 February 2027, bringing together the global professional audiovisual, systems integration and technology industries at Fira de Barcelona Gran Via.

For retailers, brands, designers and technology professionals, ISE 2027 provides an opportunity to explore developments in digital signage and display technology, immersive experiences, artificial intelligence, audio, lighting, interactive technology, smart buildings and the increasingly connected technologies being used across physical retail environments.

The four-day exhibition is expected to feature more than 1,800 exhibitors, alongside live demonstrations, product launches, conference sessions, networking opportunities and specialist areas covering different parts of the professional AV and systems integration market.

Retail Technology, Digital Signage and In-Store Experiences

While ISE serves a broad range of sectors, retail has become an increasingly important part of the event as brands invest in digital displays, connected stores, experiential technology and more responsive physical environments.

ISE has a dedicated programme and visitor information for retail professionals, highlighting technologies that can be applied across stores, shopping centres, showrooms, hospitality environments and other customer-facing spaces.

Retail visitors can explore solutions including digital signage, LED displays, interactive screens, content management platforms, in-store media, retail media networks, analytics, sensors, immersive installations, audio systems, projection technology and smart control systems.

These technologies are increasingly being combined with retail technology, data and artificial intelligence to create more dynamic customer experiences and allow retailers to adapt content and communications across physical locations.

Digital Signage & DooH at ISE 2027

One of the areas particularly relevant to retailers is the Digital Signage & DooH Zone in Hall 4, which brings together display manufacturers, software providers, content platforms and other businesses working across digital signage and out-of-home technology.

The zone covers technologies ranging from conventional digital displays and videowalls to transparent, flexible and large-format screens, alongside touch, gesture and other interactive technologies.

Visitors interested in displays can also explore major manufacturers and technology providers within the wider Multi-Technology areas of the exhibition.

Digital signage has become particularly relevant to retailers as physical stores increasingly incorporate digital content, in-store displays, retail media and interactive customer experiences alongside more traditional visual merchandising and store design.

Seven Technology Zones at ISE 2027

ISE 2027 will organise exhibitors across seven dedicated Technology Zones, helping visitors identify suppliers and solutions relevant to their businesses.

The zones cover Audio, Broadcast AV, Digital Signage & DooH, Lighting & Staging, Multi-Technology, Residential & Smart Building, and Unified Communications & Education Technology.

For the retail sector, this mix provides access to technology relevant to store design, digital customer communications, branded environments, experiential retail, visual merchandising, events and activations, retail media, entertainment and smart building management.

Immersive and Experiential Retail Technology

ISE has become an important showcase for the technologies used to create immersive physical experiences, with displays, projection, lighting, audio and interactive systems increasingly being combined within stores and branded environments.

Retailers and designers can use the show to explore technologies capable of transforming shop windows, flagship stores, pop-ups, product launches and other physical brand experiences.

365 Retail has previously examined the technologies at ISE shaping the future of retail, including developments in digital signage, immersive environments and connected customer experiences.

Innovation and Emerging Technology

Alongside established technology businesses, ISE 2027 will once again feature Innovation Park, bringing together startups, entrepreneurs and businesses new to the exhibition.

Located in Congress Square, Innovation Park includes exhibition pods, a pitching stage, matchmaking facilities and networking opportunities designed to connect emerging technology businesses with investors, partners and potential customers.

For retail professionals, the wider exhibition also provides an opportunity to examine how developments in artificial intelligence, analytics, automation, connected devices and smart environments are being incorporated into customer-facing physical spaces.

ISE Conference and Content Programme

ISE 2027 will also feature an extensive conference and content programme alongside the exhibition.

The programme includes free-to-attend sessions as well as specialist summits and industry content covering subjects including digital signage, cybersecurity, smart buildings, audiovisual technology and wider industry trends.

Sessions give visitors an opportunity to hear from technology businesses, consultants, designers, integrators, end users and other specialists about new technologies and their practical applications.

A Major International Technology Exhibition

ISE has continued to expand since relocating to Barcelona, attracting technology businesses and visitors from around the world.

The scale of the event was demonstrated at ISE 2026, when a record 92,170 visitors attended and 1,751 exhibitors participated across 101,000 sq m of exhibition space.

365 Retail’s ISE 2026 preview also highlighted the growing relevance of the exhibition to retail, including developments in digital signage, AI-powered customer engagement, immersive AV, branded environments, projection mapping and smart commercial spaces.

Who Should Visit ISE 2027?

ISE 2027 is relevant to professionals working across audiovisual technology and systems integration, as well as end users from sectors including retail, hospitality, leisure, corporate environments, education and entertainment.

Within retail, the event is particularly relevant to professionals responsible for store design, visual merchandising, digital signage, customer experience, retail technology, marketing, retail media, IT, property, store development and experiential activations.

Retailers and brands can use the exhibition to compare technology providers, see products demonstrated in person, meet potential partners and examine how emerging AV and digital technologies could be applied across physical stores and other customer-facing environments.
