HARIBO, the confectionery brand behind Tangfastics and Starmix, will open its first store in Scotland later this year at Silverburn Shopping Centre in Glasgow. The 2,500 sq ft space will be the brand’s 12th UK location and will claim the title of the northernmost HARIBO store in the world.

The new store will include a “Pick Your Mix” station, allowing visitors to choose from over 30 HARIBO and MAOAM varieties. Fans can expect to find beloved favourites such as Supermix, Giant Strawbs, and MAOAM Stripes, alongside the brand’s latest innovation, HARIBO Nostalgix – a collection inspired by classic hard-boiled sweets like Rhubarb & Custard, Pear Drops, Pineapple, and Cola Cubes.

Rebecca Fox, Head of Retail at HARIBO UK, said: “We’re so excited to be opening our first HARIBO retail store in Scotland. It’s something we’ve wanted to do for a while, so it’s a dream come true to share the news with our fans – especially those based in Scotland! Fresh from the success of opening our most recent store, in Bluewater, we can’t wait to bring the magic to life when Goldbear opens our doors later this year in Silverburn!”

Alberto Esguevillas, CEO of UK Retail at Eurofund, added: “We are pleased to have been selected as the location for HARIBO’s first Scottish store. It is a much-loved brand and a very welcome addition to our ever-evolving offer that continues to enhance Silverburn’s status as the leading Scottish retail and leisure destination.”

The opening is the latest step in HARIBO’s wider expansion strategy, as the brand continues to grow its physical presence and offer immersive retail experiences to customers across the UK.
