The LEGO Group has confirmed that its LEGO Stores in Leeds and Sheffield will relocate to larger units at Trinity Leeds and Meadowhall Sheffield this spring.

Both stores have traded in their respective centres for more than 15 years and have established a strong customer base across a wide age range. The new Sheffield store will measure 389 sq m, while the Leeds store will extend to 456 sq m, providing additional space for product ranges and in-store activities.

Expanded in-store experiences

Each relocated store will include a LEGO Pick a Brick Wall, enabling customers to select individual elements for custom builds or to complement existing sets. Hands-on play areas will host free build challenges and events, with further details available via LEGO.com/Stores.

The stores will also feature a Build a Minifigure Tower, allowing visitors to create personalised minifigures from a range of heads, torsos, legs and accessories.

LEGO ‘Brick Specialists’ will continue to support customers with product selection, gifting and information on new releases.

Industry and centre responses

“We are delighted to share that we are relocating our LEGO Sheffield and Leeds Stores. We are continually investing in our store portfolio, and this new store will be a top retail destination for product launches and events, while acting as a hub for our LEGO community and new builders alike.”

Shweta Munshi, Vice President of Marketing, LEGO Retail at the LEGO Group

“It’s brilliant to see The LEGO Store move to a larger unit within Meadowhall, giving fans of all ages an even bigger place to explore everything the brand has to offer. The store has proved hugely popular with visitors for the last 15-years, and the move will mean shoppers can browse even more of the LEGO range and add to their collections.”

Darren Pearce, Centre Director, Meadowhall

“The LEGO Group’s move into a bigger location is fantastic news for our visitors. The relocation reflects the brand’s continued success at the centre and allows the LEGO Group to significantly enhance its offer. The increased space will bring a wider product range, more opportunities for creativity and a better shopping experience for families and fans of all ages.”
