Bershka opened its new store at Westgate Oxford on 29 October, bringing the Inditex-owned youth fashion brand to Landsec’s shopping and leisure destination in the centre of Oxford.

Popular with Gen Z shoppers, Bershka strengthens the centre’s appeal to a generation that is increasingly influencing how brands think about physical retail. The signing also extends Landsec’s long-standing relationship with Inditex, one of the world’s largest fashion groups, and reflects the group’s continued confidence in Landsec’s retail destinations.

Westgate Oxford attracts more than 17 million visitors a year, with a mix of local residents, students and tourists, and Landsec says it continues to draw brands looking to reach a broad customer base in one of the UK’s most visited cities. Bershka’s arrival reflects continued demand from major international brands seeking to grow within high-performing retail destinations.

“Bershka is a fantastic addition to Westgate Oxford and further reinforces the destination’s position as a leading retail and leisure destination. As retailers focus investment on locations that can deliver reach, engagement and growth, Westgate Oxford continues to attract sought-after brands and concepts. With a loyal Gen Z customer base, Bershka brings a fresh dimension to our fashion offer and enhances the appeal of the destination for both new and existing visitors.”

The opening follows a series of recent additions at the centre, including Sephora and LEGO, whose new store attracted significant crowds on its opening day. Landsec says the signings highlight Westgate Oxford’s continued appeal to leading international brands.
