A new retail concept is set to open in Brighton this June as Local Hero arrives at Churchill Square. Developed by Lone Design Club in partnership with Ingka Centres, Local Hero is a pop-up space that will support a rotating line-up of emerging and established brands across fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and sustainability.

Occupying a prime unit in the city’s main shopping destination, the space is intended as a platform for short-term activations, launches, and immersive customer experiences. With a focus on flexibility and brand-led storytelling, Local Hero aims to address the challenge of inaccessible high-street locations by giving independent labels the exposure and audience reach typically reserved for major retailers.

Rebecca Morter, Founder & CEO of Lone Design Club, said: “This partnership represents our commitment to fostering a thriving retail landscape where emerging brands can connect with communities and redefine the shopping experience. We look forward to seeing this space evolve as a hub for creativity, discovery, and engagement.”

The concept is designed to evolve throughout the year, offering a curated and ever-changing retail experience in one of the UK’s most active coastal cities.
