Gunwharf Quays, owned and operated by Landsec, has signed British luxury brand Mulberry to open a new pop-up store as part of a strategic push to enhance the outlet’s premium brand offering.

Scheduled to open on 16 October, the 1,466-square-foot unit will showcase Mulberry’s range of luxury leather goods, including everyday accessories and gifting pieces. Located in a prime position at the waterfront shopping destination, the store launch coincides with the start of the Christmas trading period.

The addition of Mulberry aligns with growing customer demand for premium retail experiences at Gunwharf Quays. Landsec reported an 11.2% rise in outlet sales from April to June this year, reflecting increased interest from visitors in high-end brands.

Founded in Somerset in 1971, Mulberry is now recognised as the UK’s largest manufacturer of luxury leather goods. The brand is known globally for its modern interpretation of British heritage design and its ongoing commitment to sustainable, progressive luxury.

The Mulberry signing follows a year of steady investment in Gunwharf Quays, particularly within The Avenues section of the outlet. New store additions include Citizen and Oliver Bonas, adding to an existing roster that features Penhaligon’s, AllSaints, Polo Ralph Lauren, and Coach.

Pablo Sueiras, Head of Retail & Hospitality Leasing at Landsec, said:
We’re focused on elevating Gunwharf Quays as a destination for premium brands, and introducing Mulberry to The Avenues is a testament to its growing appeal.
With consistent high footfall and our ongoing investment programme enhancing the surroundings, we’re creating the ideal environment for brands to connect with guests. We are seeing continued rise in demand for elevated experiences, and this pop-up is perfectly placed to cater to that trend.

The new Mulberry store contributes to Gunwharf Quays’ transformation into a destination for premium retail, positioning it strongly ahead of the crucial end-of-year trading period.
