The health and beauty retailer will occupy a newly created 4,500 sq ft unit at Dockside, extending the tenant mix as the Medway destination develops its retail, dining, workspace and healthcare offer.
Savers has agreed a 10-year lease for a 4,500 sq ft unit at Dockside, Chatham Maritime, as the Medway retail destination continues its repositioning as a mixed-use scheme.
The health and beauty retailer, which operates more than 500 stores across the UK, will occupy a newly created space formed after WD Ltd reconfigured two existing units to meet its requirements. Savers sells health and beauty products, household goods, medicines and fragrances from leading brands.
Dockside’s Mixed-Use Repositioning
The Savers deal forms part of the continuing evolution of Dockside’s tenant mix. Changes to the entrance have included lettings to Sotto Lounge, McDonald’s, Bakers + Baristas and YouMeSushi, with the expanded food and beverage offer contributing to a significant increase in footfall.
Humanly, a new brand from IWG, has also joined the destination, providing flexible, treatment-ready spaces for medical, therapy, wellness, beauty and fitness professionals. The concept introduces healthcare services to the retail environment, reflecting the growing presence of healthcare uses within retail destinations, and forms another part of WD Ltd’s repositioning of Dockside from an outlet scheme into an all-day, mixed-use destination serving the area’s growing residential and student population.

Located just over 30 miles from central London in the Medway region of Kent, Dockside at Chatham Maritime serves 14,000 residents, more than 12,000 students across four universities and employees of businesses located in the surrounding area.
Dockside forms part of a 300-acre waterfront regeneration zone incorporating historic dockyards, an independent distillery and a marina serving a water sports organisation. Its mix includes retail, leisure and dining operators alongside community services.
